Gloryn Custom ("Gloryn Custom", "we", "us" or "our") provides specialized automotive aesthetics — including ambient lighting, starlight headliners, shooting stars, custom logos, window tint, wraps and detailing — from our locations in Ottawa, Ontario and Montréal, Québec.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and our booking process, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights you have under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec's Law 25.
By using our website or submitting a booking request, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
02Information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to you and complete your installation.
Information you give us
When you submit our booking request form or contact us directly, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number and email address
- Your vehicle make and model
- Your preferred location, date and the service you're interested in
- Any details you include in your message
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host may automatically log basic technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you visit — to keep the site secure and running well.
03How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your booking request, questions and messages
- Schedule, confirm and carry out your installation or service
- Provide quotes, warranty support and after-care
- Improve our website, services and customer experience
- Send you occasional updates or offers, where you've asked to hear from us
- Measure whether our advertising is working, where you've allowed it
- Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to those above without your consent.
04Sharing & service providers
We keep your information confidential and only share it where necessary to operate our business:
- Service providers who help us run our website, host the site, deliver our booking form and communicate with you
- Google, as our advertising provider, but only where you have accepted advertising cookies — see Cookies & advertising
- Professional advisors such as accountants or legal counsel, where required
- Authorities when we are legally required to disclose information
Some of these providers may store or process data outside your province or country. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We work only with providers who are expected to protect your information appropriately.
05Cookies & advertising
We keep tracking on this site to a minimum, and nothing optional runs until you say it can. The first time you visit, a banner asks you to choose. Until you choose, advertising and analytics storage stay switched off.
What we use
- Strictly necessary — the basic technology that makes the site load, display and stay secure. Always on; the site cannot work without it.
- Functional — remembers your dark or light display choice so the site looks the way you left it. Stored on your own device only.
- Advertising — the Google tag, which lets us see whether our Google Ads actually lead to bookings. Off unless you accept it.
Some content on our pages is loaded from trusted third parties — web fonts, animation libraries and our embedded Instagram feed — which may collect limited technical data under their own privacy policies.
The Google tag
If you accept advertising cookies, we use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. When you arrive from one of our ads, Google adds a click identifier to the link. The tag stores that identifier in a cookie on this site — typically named _gcl_aw, kept for up to 90 days — so that if you go on to book with us, Google can tell us which ad brought you here, and so we can show our ads again to people who have already visited.
We see the result of this only as aggregated numbers: how many bookings came from which campaign. We never receive a list of who visited. Google processes this data as our advertising provider under its own terms — see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Because of this, some information is transferred to and stored on servers outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Your choices
- Accept all — necessary, functional and advertising cookies.
- Necessary only — no advertising; we still remember your display preference.
- Decline — strictly necessary technology only. We keep a single record of the fact that you declined, so we don't ask you again on every page; nothing else is stored, and your display preference resets on each visit.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Choosing "Necessary only" or "Decline" also clears any Google advertising cookies already set on this site. You can additionally block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or turn off personalized Google advertising at My Ad Center. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site display or behave.
We do not use cookies to sell your personal information, and we do not track you across unrelated websites.
06How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, to complete your service, honour your warranty, and satisfy legal or tax requirements. When it's no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
07How we protect it
We take reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to those who need it.
08Your privacy rights
Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information, subject to legal limits
- Change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the Cookie settings link in our footer
- Ask how your information is being used or shared
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
09Children's privacy
Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
